This course examines the main ideas of Òrìṣà Philosophy. It is designed to give a foundational understanding of the philosophy of African culture on the following selected topics: ontology, epistemology, race, gender, science, logic, monetary economics, and applied ethics. The course is structured to give students advanced understanding of these topics, the (in)commensurability of African and Western answers offered, and the multiplicity of methods employed in Òrìṣà philosophical thought.
