ÒRÌṢÀ EDUCATION
Many people mistakenly believe that “Òrìṣà” is a religious or spiritual system focused solely on faith, belief, ritual, and devoutness. Nothing could be further from the truth! Before the trans-Atlantic enslavement period, and in particular the European colonization of Africa, Ifá-Òrìṣà was at the center of education in Yorùbá societies.
HISTORY
Ifá University is a small Òrìṣà-based University established in 2020 by the Òrìṣà Devotion Webinars Group, led by Dr. Kọ́lá Abímbọ ́la, Babaláwo. The Òrìṣà Devotion Webinars Group was founded in 2015 with 7 people. In 2020, the Òrìṣà Devotion Webinars Group became the Òrìṣà Spiritual Assembly for Ìṣẹ ̀ṣe Faith and Practice (The Òrìṣà Spiritual Assembly).

Ifá ni afinimọ ̀nà ọmọ aráyé!
Translation: Ifá is the one who guides inhabitants of the world onto their right paths.
Contemporary Expression: Ifá is the GPS of life!
VISION
Ifá University will be a world-class Òrìṣà learning institution that develops the whole person according to the ìwàpẹ̀lẹ ́ values of Ifá and Òrìṣà Religion.
MISSION
Ifá University exists to equip students with Ifá and Òrìṣà truths, spiritual discipline, and practical knowledge to serve and lead Òrìṣà communities.
PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
Ifá University views the Sacred Scriptures of Odù Ifá as the primary means to a successful life. In its entirety, the educational and practical experience of the University is designed to enable students to know and understand the Odù of Ifá, to apply its content and belief in the Òrìṣà to every aspect of life, and to minister it effectively to the world.
The University is founded upon, and shall forever be dedicated to, the declaration and preservation of the Odù of Ifá, Òrìṣà Religion, and academic excellence. The University is an Òrìṣà institution with the distinctive focus on the application of the Scared Odù Ifá principle of Ìwàpẹ ̀lẹ́ to life and living.
Join us for first-class education and training in the Scriptures, theology, philosophy and practice of Òrìṣà Religion and culture. Our bachelor’s degrees are for those who seek (i) Enlightenment and/or (ii) want to augment their initiation/consecration with practical and scriptural knowledge for effective service in Òrìṣà Religions communities.
